Movement Strategy Taps Nicholson As SVP To Enhance Agency's AI Capacities

Jenny Nicholson has been hired as senior vice president, creative and strategic innovation at Movement Strategy.

The social-powered agency tapped the AI educator and creative technologist for her expertise in digital media.

Prior to the appointment, Nicholson spent more than a decade at McKinney helping brands expand their creativity via emerging tech. Over her career, she has won recognition from Cannes, Clios and Webbys. She has also been listed among 4A’s “100 People Who Make Advertising Great.”

At Movement, she will oversee how the agency applies AI in its daily processes, as well as develop proprietary AI tools to enable its team to better understand real-time trends.

Nicholson said Movement gets “that using AI ... is about doing things that never would have been possible before. We're showing our clients how to do this whole AI thing differently. And with everyone spinning up AI-powered pipelines to pump out content at scale, doing something different is more important than ever. The agencies and brands that can shift from efficiency to expansion — those are the ones that will succeed.”

Movement CEO Jason Mitchell added: “We’re focused on using AI to make social more human, more interesting and more valuable for brands and audiences alike.” He said Nicholson approaches AI “from a storytelling and big ideas perspective, not just a technological one. That’s what makes this so exciting.”

Movement Strategy has crafted influencer partnerships and brand moments for various clients, including Netflix, Under Armour, Klarna, Amazon and WarnerMedia.
