Pizza Hut Introduces Delivery Man, Return Of Menu Favorites

Pizza Hut just kicked off a new TV spot.

The 30-second creative by Deutsch features new delivery man Peter Zahut (Get it? Pete-za-hut) and a menu favorite, Cheesy Bites Pizza, 28 pull-apart bites. The brand is also offering three limited-time dips: chipolte, ultimate and pepperoni.

The campaign, which debuted at the NCAA Sweet 16, is running on BET, Freeform, FX, Hallmark, ION, Fuse, Weather Channel, Telemundo, TBS and cable sports. It is also viewable on digital and social channels.

The ad, also in 6- and 15-second iterations, runs through May 25.

Ryan Lehr, Co-Chief Creative Officer, Deutsch, said: “When Pizza Hut shows up you know you are in for a good time. We wanted to embody that energy in a person. The ultimate delivery guy … is not meant to be the center of attention, but the straw the stirs the drink. Dishing out the pizza (and alley oops in this case), instigating good times with a flair for the dramatic, and a knowing wink.”

Pizza Hut, a subsidiary of Yum! Brands, was founded in 1958 in Wichita, Kansas.

Deutsch’s client work includes Taco Bell, NerdWallet, Petsmart and Snapple.
