Stamford, CT-based Charter Communications has consolidated its estimated $800 million media planning and buying account with Horizon Media, while VCCP has won creative duties, the company confirmed late Monday.
The selections followed a formal review that began six months ago and was managed by ID Comms.

Incumbents included Dentsu, PMG, Cooper Smith, and Billups. GroupM was a finalist, a source familiar with the situation said.
"The new agency partnerships mark a pivotal step for Spectrum as it unifies its brand communications across all its residential and commercial lines of business in the highly competitive broadband, wireless and video marketplaces," the company said in a statement.
Charter operates under the Spectrum brand for its consumer services, including Spectrum TV, Spectrum Internet, Spectrum Voice, and Spectrum Mobile, among other businesses.
Charter, the largest cable operator in the U.S., had revenue of $55.1 billion last year. It has about 31.5 million customers in 41 states, according to the company.
