Arena Club, the online marketplace for collectible cards co-founded by Derek Jeter and Brian Lee, is debuting its first TV ad.
Tied to the excitement of Opening Day, the campaign highlights the fun of collecting and Arena’s key features, such as instant trading and Slab Packs.
Orchard handled all creative work.
Baseball Hall of Famer Jeter said: “The theme of ‘Opening Day’ and that sense of excitement really resonated as we thought about parallels between breaking a Slab Pack and the sports world. We’ve worked hard at Arena Club to build a great community of collectors, and we’ve listened to that community.”
The spot runs on TV, social and CTV in 6-, 15-, 30- and 60-second formats, with ESPN carrying the ad in mid-June. It ends with Jeter experiencing the same delight as he rips open a Slab Pack. Every day is Opening Day at Arena Club.
Arena Club has ongoing collaborations with other sports voices, such as Annie Agar, Geoff Wilson, Jim Rome and Matt Strahm.
“Collecting has always been about the chase, that heart-pounding moment of discovery,” said CEO Lee. “This ad brings it to life.”
