Dogs who can find lost balls -- albeit cinnamon-scented ones -- aren’t typically found on the average golf course, but that’s just what’s in store for golfers who sign up for a round at Bensenville, Illinois’ White Pines Golf Club on June 27.
Fireball Cinnamon Whisky’s newest mascots, the Fireball Retrievers, are “four-legged caddies trained to sniff out and recover golfers' cinnamon-scented Fireball golf balls.” The dogs will be on the green and at the ready at the White Pines Golf Club, for whenever a golfer’s “tee shot or fairway swing sends them deep into the ruff.”
"Let's admit it: Golf can take itself a little too seriously. You show up to the course thinking it's going to be a chill day with friends, then one shanked shot later, you're red-faced, and digging through the woods for your dignity and your golf ball," said Danny Suich, global brand director for Fireball, in the announcement. "We're here to help you toss the golf rule book in the trash and hand you the best caddy you've ever had.”

The dogs were actually professionally trained to sniff out cinnamon using drills with cinnamon-scented training aids. On the 27, participants will receive a Fireball cinnamon-scented golf ball to use at a designated hole. If they miss the shot, the Fireball Retrievers will hunt it down, sitting and barking once they locate the ball.
Extending the promotion to all, Fireball is offering limited-edition cinnamon-scented balls at FireballWhisky.com/Retrievers for $1, beginning June 27.
The brand is promoting the Fireball Retrievers @FireballWhisky on Instagram and Meta.
