An AI Foray Into Email: New Tools Streamline Creation, Personalization, Firm Says

Omnisend, an email and SMS marketing platform, has debuted a suite of AI-powered tools that it claims will enable marketers to automate repetitive tasks in email creation.

The goal is to make “advanced personalization and efficiency accessible to brands of any size,” says Zilvinas Lešinskas, vice president of product for Omnisend.

Among other things, the new tools will help teams to craft emails, using logos, colors, fonts and tone of voice taken directly from the brand’s website.

According to Omnisend, the new suite includes:

  • AI Segment Builder, now in beta, allows marketers to describe audiences – i.e., "customers who bought jeans last winter" or "subscribers who haven't opened emails in three months" – and instantly generate precise segments.
  • Subject Line & Preheader Generators — Brands can create subject lines and preheaders using performance data.
  • Direct Copywriting & AI Writer — Users can Generate branded email content in multiple languages using previous campaign insights and the brand's tone of voice, style and even grammar.
  • Hyper-personalization with AI product recommendations — 'This tool suggests products based on the customer’s browsing behavior.

This set of solutions is designed specifically for email. But it addresses a broader problem.

"AI should take the busywork out of marketing, not add to it," Lešinskas concludes.
