Sixty-two percent of women (versus 48% of men) are cutting back on discretionary spending in anticipation of an economic slowdown, according to the research.

Women are significantly more concerned about overall economic uncertainty than men. That said, nearly three-quarters of men feel that way (73%). The figure rises to 83% from women.

Seventy percent of Gen Z women say their financial health is all they think about today.

Women are also 13 percentage points more likely to be shoring up their emergency funds than men (76% versus 63%).
