Nick Garrett has been named CEO of Omnicom
Advertising Group Oceania.
He reports to Omnicom chairman-CEO John Wren.
The new company aligns Omnicom across Australia and New Zealand, including media and creative
agencies, performance marketing and production under a unified leadership.
Before this, Garrett spent four years at Deloitte Digital as a brand-creative partner. Prior to Deloitte, he was CEO
of Clemenger BBDO.
Omnicom Advertising Group was created in August 2024 to house TBWA, DDB and BBDO, headed by Troy Ruhanen. Ruhanen, a former TBWA CEO, is now global CEO of the three
creative agencies.
“The growth of marketing channels, consumer expectations, data, technology and AI mean that we need the best creative talent in the world, along with more
capabilities, more technologies, and more tools than ever before to be competitive,” Ruhanen said.
Garrett joins OAG following his former agency’s merger with CHEP Network and
Traffik.
Omnicom hopes to acquire the Interpublic Group, a deal expected to be confirmed in the second half of this year.
