Chenoweth, Chance The Rapper Tout New Acrobat Studio

Adobe has recruited a handful of luminaries from the arts and entertainment world for a campaign to promote its new Acrobat Studio product which unites Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Express, and AI agents.

The campaign, called “Do That with Acrobat,” features Chance the Rapper and Kristin Chenoweth auditioning for a new Acrobat jingle before comedians Hasan Minhaj and Patty Guggenheim who serve as judges.

There’s a running gag in the spot about how to pronounce Chenoweth's last name (Chenowitz? Chickenwing?). When Chenoweth is called to audition, she turns to Chance the Rapper and says “wish me luck.” His response, “No, I’m good.”

She then proceeds to belt out a Broadway-style tune with the lyrics, “kiss that messy work-flow buh-bye.”

Guggenheim gets “goosebumps,” although Hassan reminds her that she is sitting under an air conditioning vent.

The audition continues with Chance struggling to find a rhyme for Adobe. “Amazing, Mr. The Rapper,” Guggenheim gushes, as much taken with him as his performance, evidenced by a flirtatious wink. “You can just call me Chance,” he replies with a grin.

“Please don’t do that,” admonishes Minhaj.

After a couple more auditioners (who clearly aren’t making the cut), a DJ appears from out of nowhere chanting, “Now put your PDFs in the air and edit like you just don’t care.” Minhaj looks at the empty judge’s seat next to him where Guggenheim had been sitting and puts two and two together.

The judges agree that Chance and “Chickenwing” make the final cut. Whether the DJ makes it too is still in fierce dispute as the spot fades to black.

It wasn’t immediately clear where the spot would air beside Adobe’s YouTube channel.
