The holding company had previously handled the business in several major markets—including the US and UK—through media agency
Starcom.
The latest award covers all markets that Aldi operates in. Publicis has created a dedicated unit to service the account called Aldi
One.
Aldi has launched a major expansion effort in the U.S. where it has confirmed plans to open more than 225 stores this year and
approximately 800 new locations by 2028, as part of a $9 billion investment in the country.
Publicis declined to comment, referring queries to the client. Reps there
could not be immediately reached for comment.
