Entertainment company OBB Media has
tapped ad agency veteran James Rowe to be president of its branded entertainment studio, Bolded.
It’s a new role at the company that coincides with the opening of its New York office earlier
this year, where Rowe is based.

Rowe will work closely with OBB founder and filmmaker Michael D. Ratner and oversee business development, client
relationships, and operational strategy for Bolded.
OBB started Bolded in 2024 and the studio has worked with brands like Dick’s Sporting Goods, Old
Spice, Allbirds, Starbucks and more.
Rowe joins OBB after more than a decade at adam&eveDDB, where he is credited with leading the agency’s expansion in the
U.S. and winning key accounts like JetBlue, Peloton, Disney, and NBA2K.
“James is a proven builder with the creative and commercial instincts that brands need in
today’s fast-evolving media landscape,” stated Ratner.
Earlier this week OBB announced the Fanatics Flag Football Classic, which it is producing in
partnership with Tom Brady, Fanatics, Riyadh Season, and Fox Sports.
Ratner was a co-founder of skincare brand Rhode, acquired by E.L.F. Beauty in May for a
reported $1 billion. OBB played a role in the launch and growth of Rhode by partnering with founder Hailey Bieber on the development, production, and
distribution of her YouTube channel.
