Haleon Splits Global Creative Duties Between WPP, Publicis

It’s turning out to be a big week for new business activity in the consumer healthcare sector.

First, Bayer Consumer Health consolidated its global media, creative and production assignment with IPG. That was followed by Kenvue’s announcement that it was launching a similar review.

Now Haleon, the UK-based maker of pain relievers Voltaren; Advil; oral care products Sensodyne, Polident and other brands has split its global creative assignment between WPP and Publicis.

Haleon spent about $2.9 billion on advertising and promotion in 2024 according to its annual report.

The company was created in 2022 from a corporate spinoff by Big Pharma firm GSK.

Tamara Rogers, chief marketing officer at Haleon, said: “Working with just two holding companies globally that are category aligned will enable a more simple, focused way of working with our agency partners. We value greatly the role and contribution of our agencies as we build leading consumer healthcare brands that are trusted by consumers worldwide and look forward to further positive collaboration."
