Star One Credit Union Rebrands, Debuts Campaign

HUb San Francisco won the competitive review to rebrand California-based Star One Credit Union. The assignment also included a new campaign.

The agency created a new logo, site and all marketing materials. The integrated campaign is running on broadcast TV, radio, digital, and OOH.

The four spots features an ancient warlord who promises to make banking even more painful for customers. He meets bank employees and they are delighted by his brutality, as gouging users is the bank's intent.

DJ O’Neil, CEO of HUb, told Out To Launch: "Banking advertising can be pretty boring. But throw in a 5th-century barbarian and a comedic script and we've got something that definitely bucks that trend. Banking is often synonymous with boring, when it comes to advertising. Happily, this campaign is anything but boring."
