Basketball Legends Allen Iverson, Candace Parker Showcase 'PrizePicks Feed'

PrizePicks tipped off its campaign for the upcoming 2025-2026 NBA season with a series of ads featuring NBA Hall of Famer Allen Iverson, and three-time WNBA champion Candace Parker.

Part of the daily fantasy sports platform’s “It’s Good To Be Right” campaign, created in partnership with Austin-based agency Preacher, the ads feature comedic actors Drew “Druski” Desbordes and Sam Richardson alongside the basketball stars.

In addition to hyping PrizePicks ahead of the new NBA season, and following the Las Vegas Aces’ WNBA Finals sweep, the ads also highlight the platform’s new “The PrizePicks Feed” social feature, which allows users to follow friends, or celebrities like Iverson and Parker, and view their daily lineup submissions.

In the featured spot of the campaign, Richardson demonstrates the feature in action by relying on Iverson’s basketball knowledge by quickly copying his game lineup with a single click. The spot then extends the concept into comedic territory by imagining Richardson similarly copying Iverson in other ways, with Iverson less appreciative of Richardson’s attempt to wear the player’s signature headband. “Original” pairs “Druski” with Parker, with the retired WNBA star showing the comedian how easy it is to copy her fantasy lineup, reassuring him of his originality amid evidence to the contrary.

“We’re advancing the daily fantasy sports world forward into its next phase, blending how fans socialize online with how they root for their favorite players on gameday,” Dylan Cooper, senior vice president of product for PrizePicks, said in a statement. “These social features create an interactive experience that allows players to build lineups, ride with their favorite celebrities and flex their knowledge with their friends, all within the PrizePicks app.”

The new social features follow some legal contention over PrizePicks daily sports fantasy distinction and state laws against sports betting. In August, the company’s class-action settlement over its operations in Kentucky, granted qualifying recipients payouts for losses and entry fees from September 1, 2018 through April 1, 2025.

Amid such legal challenges, PrizePicks entered into a partnership with mental health network Kindbridge Behavioral Health to offer free services for problem gambling to its users. This year, the company claims it became the only sports fantasy platform to earn iCAP (Internet Compliance Assessment Program) accreditation from the National Council on Problem Gambling (NCPG) for its “responsible gaming practices.”
