Los Angeles ad agency RPA has promoted Jim Helberg to
CEO, succeeding Pete Imwalle who is leaving the agency. Imwalle is a 32-year veteran of the agency who had been CEO since 2022 and previously served as Chief
Operating Officer for nearly nine years.
Helberg has served as Chief Media Officer at the RPA since 2017. Earlier he served in roles at Publicis
Groupe’s Spark Foundry, Omnicom’s PHD and OMD and others.

The agency said that Helberg and current COO Brett Bender will “architect an enhanced strategic
approach to RPA’s offering given the ongoing changes within the agency landscape.”
In addition to its LA
headquarters, RPA has regional outposts in Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Denver and Philadelphia.
