Bud Light’s newest
campaign features Ultimate Fighting Championship's Bruce Buffer and Dustin Poirier, announcer and former fighter respectively.
The hero :30 spot, seen here, opens on a UFC fan who asks how his friend was able to get time off to watch the fight. The camera pans to Buffer wearing a headset in a
very uncharacteristic office setting, who shouts his traditional UFC fight opening phrase, “It’s time!” Except he isn’t in the ring; he’s in a customer service call
center, alongside Poirier, who immediately drops an elbow to a three-hole punch.
“Bud Light has been there for countless UFC moments, so we know well how the sport’s athletes,
broadcasters and fans will do anything to enjoy fight night,” says Todd Allen, senior vice president of marketing for Bud Light at Anheuser-Busch, in a release.

The brand is
also giving UFC fans a chance to take the day off and see the latest fight, UFC 322, in real life. The “Fight Night PTO: Paid Time at the Octagon” contest will award tickets or cash for
the entrant and their “crew” to UFC 322. Now through Oct. 30, customers can call Bud Light’s own call center at 1-800-BUD-LIGHT, where they can submit their PTO request. Per the
brand, “Bruce Buffer will answer the call, giving fans a chance to score cash to cover their shift and win tickets to UFC 322 in New York City.”
As the official beer of the UFC,
Bud Light recently announced its partnership with Buffer earlier in October.
Bud Light is promoting the Fight Night activation via its social media platforms @BudLight.
