Intuit Inc., parent of Turbo Tax,
Mailchimp and other brands, has formed a multi-year strategic partnership with OpenAI worth $100M+.
The goal is to “fuel financial success for consumers and
businesses,” says Sasan Goodarzi, CEO of Intuit, in a statement.
The arrangement will bring together Intuit-powered apps and ChatGPT.
Intuit notes that hundreds of
million of consumers and businesses search on ChatGPT every week for answers to financial questions.
This new collaboration is designed to speed up that process.
“Our
partnership combines the power of Intuit’s proprietary financial data, credit models, and AI platform capabilities with OpenAI’s scale and frontier models to give users the financial
advantage they need to prosper," Goodarzi adds.

ChatGPT users will be able to take financial actions through this secure collaboration.
"Intuit’s AI-powered financial platform
helps millions of people manage their finances and run their businesses," says Fidji Simo, CEO of Applications at OpenAI. "This partnership combines our most advanced models and global scale with
Intuit's platform capabilities.”
Consumers can ask such questions as “How can I pay off my debt faster or improve my credit score?”
In addition, businesses can
obtain answers to complex questions and can complete tasks such as forecasting cash flow, preparing taxes or managing payroll.
But what about privacy? These questions and follow-up
actions would constitute some great email lists.
Intuit contends that it is committed to data privacy, security and responsible AI governance.
