Snapchat Partners With Wix To Onboard More SMBs

In line with its post-Q2 strategy, Snapchat is aiming to bring more small-and-medium-sized brands to the platform via a global integration with Wix, which allows e-commerce businesses to build digital storefronts.

With the partnership, e-commerce brands will be able to connect their Wix storefronts with Snapchat and develop shoppable ad campaigns with the hope of reaching new customers on the social media app.

According to Snapchat's announcement, the Wix integration will automatically sync and update brands' changing product catalogs. Brands are also invited to install Snap Pixel and CAPI, in-app optimization tools used to track ad performance and use actions on their linked website.

Internal Snap findings show that advertisers using these tools have seen a 22% increase in attributed purchases and a 25% increase in purchase value.

In a recent statement, Wix's e-commerce strategic business development lead Gaby Carni says this integration is meant to better connect its small-and-medium-sized business partners with Gen-Z consumers, about 50 million of whom use Snapchat in the U.S., according to Statista.

With Q5 shopping right around the corner, marketers should consider testing new channels to reach new customers,” Carni adds.

Snapchat's partnership with Wix comes almost four months after CEO Evan Spiegel publicly stated that the company will focus on boosting its advertising growth by investing in medium-sized businesses, a segment the company has yet to maximize.

At the time, Snap reported 2,000 new activations around these businesses in 2025, with each seller contributing nearly $6 million in annualized revenue on average in the U.S.

Partnering with Wix may help the company near its goal by reaching more small-and-medium-sized businesses.
