Mitsubishi Motors North America is bringing
advanced technology to the 2026 Mitsubishi Outlander, the brand’s flagship SUV.
High-speed AT&T 5G will enable an enhanced connected experience for drivers and passengers,
according to the companies.
Mitsubishi Connected Car Services will be able to deliver faster software rollouts and more responsive driver support. It will enable real-time
navigation, faster infotainment and easier over-the-air updates on select systems.
In-vehicle technology gets a boost, including ultra-fast data speeds, enhanced entertainment
options and improved connection performance.
The benefits go beyond entertainment. Over-the-air updates will let Mitsubishi Motors deliver software upgrades remotely to select
vehicle systems. This means vehicles will stay up to date with the latest technology.

The Mitsubishi Outlander will be that automaker’s first with AT&T 5G connectivity.
Additional models and trim levels will follow.
"Working with AT&T – an industry leader in automotive connectivity – ensures our focus on exceeding customers’
expectations will be delivered through next-generation technology that redefines the connected vehicle," said Bryan Arnett, MMNA’s director of digital product strategy, in a release.
AT&T says it covers more roads than any other carrier.
AT&T partners with many major automakers for connected car services, including General
Motors, Ford, Toyota, Stellantis (Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge), Honda, Nissan, Subaru, BMW and Lucid, providing 4G LTE and 5G connectivity for in-car Wi-Fi, streaming, over-the-air updates, and
navigation. The company supplies embedded SIMs that turn vehicles into mobile hotspots, supporting features like SiriusXM and WarnerMedia content.
Toyota announced a partnership with AT&T in October. The enhanced Toyota Audio Multimedia
experience launched with the 2026 RAV4 before rolling out to future models in the Toyota lineup.
It features the first integration of AT&T 5G network connectivity, which will
help bring more reception areas through AT&T’s network across North America, along with increased speeds and expanded features.
