Agency group Mindgruve has acquired Ameo, a commerce
agency based in Hamburg, Germany and recognized as one of Europe’s oldest Amazon advertising and analytics providers.
The acquisition
broadens Mindgruve’s European footprint and strengthens its ability to help U.S. and global brands scale retail media performance across international markets.

“We’re seeing
a growing number of U.S. brands look to Germany as the gateway to European commerce,” said Mindgruve CEO Chad Robley. “It’s the region’s largest market and the
second-largest Amazon market globally.”
With the acquisition, Ameo founder Sönke Hansen will serve as Mindgruve’s senior vice president commerce,
Europe.
Mindgruve now has a team of over 500 employees across nine U.S., Latin American and European offices.
The Ameo
transaction follows Mindgruve’s merger with performance marketing agency Levelwing last June. That deal followed Mindgruve’s mergers in
2024 with Macarta and Icon Commerce.
