Backstreet Boys Explain 'Why It's Better' At T-Mobile In Big Game Spot

T-Mobile returns to the Super Bowl for the 13th straight year, this time with a 60-second spot that is scheduled to air in the second quarter of the game.

The mobile phone service provider teamed with the pop band Backstreet Boys who did a reimagined version of their hit “I Want It That Way.” The spot features cameos from Druski, mgk and Pierson Fodé.

According to the company the spot is designed to show “why it’s better at T-Mobile.”

Created in partnership with Panay Films, which has created ads for the company in the last five consecutive Super Bowls, the spot was filmed inside T-Mobile’s Times Square NYC store, along with real customers who served as extras.

“This spot is about asking Americans to pause and think about what their wireless provider actually does for them,” stated Lucy McLellan, chief brand and communications Officer at T-Mobile. “We believe people deserve more than just a connection — they deserve more benefits, more transparency and a better overall experience — and that’s what sets T-Mobile apart,” she asserted.

“Bringing the Backstreet Boys back was a fun way to put a fresh twist on an iconic song and bring that message to life on the biggest stage in the world. The takeaway is simple: it’s better over here.”
