Terry Hines Acquires Content Studio MDRN Logic, Expands Creative Options

Entertainment agency network Terry Hines & Associates has acquired content company MDRN Logic. Financial terms were not disclosed.

The acquisition expands Terry Hines' capabilities as a marketing agency, offering clients additional creative and design tools. MDRN's management includes Erica Coates, CEO; Michael Bennett, chief growth officer; and Allan Gungormez, chief strategy officer.

MDRN Logic joins other agencies within Terry Hines, such as digital/social agency Homebrew, OOH company THACreate and event/experiential shop The MRKT. The acquisition complements both entities. Coates said of the ad industry: "It's clear we are at an inflection moment, where the traditional big agency is not as attractive to brands anymore." 

"Modern Logic represents the kind of creative excellence and cultural relevance we always strive to deliver," said Grant Nemirow, chairman of Terry Hines. His Los Angeles-based agency works with film, TV, streaming gaming and sports clients.

MDRN Logic just won the Grand Prix Titanium at Cannes Lions for its DoorDash campaign in collaboration with Wieden+Kennedy. The studio is currently working with Sony. Previous assignments include Epic Games and the launch of the latest Fortnite game, as well as branded content for "Fruithead" for Gushers.
