
Ad agency Terri & Sandy
has added muscle to its leadership team, naming John Gibson as partner and first Chief Strategy Officer.
In addition to strategic planning, he will lead Athena, the
agency’s proprietary AI platform.
Chief Creative Officer Amy Ferguson said Gibson was a “game-changing leader ... who truly understands the role strategy plays in
not only building strong client partnerships, but in pushing our thinking in a way that gets to great creative.”
Prior to his appointment, Gibson was head of strategy for The
Martin Agency. During his tenure, Gibson established Impact Intel, its in-house analytics and research practice. The new CSO also held senior strategy roles at BBDO, TBWA\Chiat\Day New York,
GSD&M. Brand work includes Oreo's “Wonderfilled,” AT&T’s “Rethink Possible” and Mountain Dew’s “As Good as the Original.”
