Short Order: Ken Jeong, Wavelength Celebrate Epsolon Tequila

Actor Ken Jeong ("The Hangover," "Community") is appearing in a new spot for Espolòn tequila. The ad runs ahead of Short King Week, May 1-9, an internet celebration designed to appreciate men 5'7" or shorter — a reminder that quality matters most.

The campaign "Give Short a Shot" was produced by Wavelength and is live across YouTube (shorts and standard), TikTok, Instagram (Reels, Stories and In-Feed) and Facebook (Stories and In-Feed).

Creative is accompanied by Espolòn’s Nine Days of Short Kings, a limited-edition Advent-style cocktail kit calendar, with smaller-sized items to make the perfect margarita at home. It is available for purchase on Thirstie.

The brand calls its own bottle a “short king” — compact and defined by what’s inside, which mirrors Jeong's philosphy.

They had me at short king,” Jeong told Men's Journal. “When they said ‘short,’ I was like, stop. I’m in. I don’t take myself seriously, but I take my work seriously,” he said. “When you have the attitude where you don’t have anything to prove except just be authentic, that’s where confidence comes from.”

Espolòn tequila is made from 100% Blue Weber agave and distilled in the Los Altos highlands region of Jalisco, Mexico. It is  owned by the Campari Group.
