Three’s A Crowd, the Los Angeles-based social impact collective
cofounded by former Deutsch LA executive Reonna Johnson is teaming with the LA County Department of Mental Health on a new initiative to support creatives who have been impacted by layoffs and broader
industry uncertainty.
The event, dubbed “Creative Reset” comes amid a harrowing time for creatives not just in advertising, but also across numerous
entertainment verticals (film, music, production) and other fields. And LA’s creative economy has been particularly hard hit.

Three’s A Crowd cites data from Basis
Technology’s 2026 Advertising Agency Report that found that 40% of agencies have conducted layoffs in the last 12 months. The report also found that 57% of agencies slowed or paused entry-level
hiring in 2025, and that 54% plan to cut staff over the next three years.
The three-day event series is funded by the LA County Department of Mental Health as part of its Take Action LA initiative and
will take place May 16 and May 17 (in-person, Inglewood) and May 24 (virtual).
The event is open to anyone impacted by job loss across entertainment, advertising, media, film, music, and related creative
industries. The event space will be transformed into a museum-style experience with different wellness activations designed to help participants slow down, reflect, and reconnect.
Sessions will be presented by
mental health professionals, wellness practitioners, stress management specialists, creative industry peers, and coaches focused on career transitions and fitness. Activities include breathwork and
light movement, storytelling and creative reflection, community connection spaces, and access to mental health resources and education.
“We created this event because we believe creative communities are
resilient, adaptable, and deeply human,” said Johnson. “This is an invitation to reconnect with why we make things in the first place, as well as support the people who make them
happen."
