Night Two At Cannes Lions, And The Award Goes To ...

The Tuesday night Cannes Lions award ceremony issued the following Grand Prix awards:  

The Entertainment Lions Grand Prix was awarded to "Original Forever" for adidas, by Johannes Leonardo, New York working with the adidas creative team in London. 

Drawing on adidas’s cultural legacy with the rock band Oasis, the brand and band partnered on official merchandise for the group’s Live ‘25 tour  and produced the campaign film Original Forever that blended modern fan experiences with archival footage from the group’s heyday in the 1990s. The film was soundtracked by the hit song "Live Forever.”

The Entertainment For Gaming Grand Prix went to "Copycats Welcome," for Clash Royale by David, New York. Targeting the game’s imitators to win loyalty, the work blends brand film, community activism and interactive gaming experience. 

The Entertainment Lions For Sport Grand Prix went to  "The Thousand Sponsors of Muni," for Club Deportivo Municipal, by McCann, Lima. The work is a sponsorship platform that tapped into fan loyalty and support after the Peruvian soccer club was relegated to a lower division and lost its main sponsor.  

Two Grand Prix were issued in the Entertainment Lions for Music, including a second Grand Prix for Original Forever and one for recording artist Rosalía’s "Berghain," the first video from her "LUX" album, which sparked conversations on classical music, genre blending, AI and hidden meanings in music visuals. Barcelona ad agency Canada, Rosalia and Columbia Records are credited for the work.  

The Design Grand Prix was presented to "Apple TV Rebrand" for Apple, by TBWA\Media Arts Lab, Los Angeles / Apple, Cupertino. The design jury concluded that the winner was “as cinematic as the shows and films it represents, and the exceptional craft brings the same weight, texture and presence as the content it lives alongside.” 

The Digital Craft Grand Prix was presented to "Project Genie" for Google, by Google, Mountain View. "Project Genie" is a first-of-its-kind application of the Genie 3 model, bridging the gap between DeepMind’s frontier research and a functional consumer interface. 

The Industry Craft, Grand Prix was awarded to  "Tiny Coffee Shops" for De'longhi, by LOLA, Madrid. De’Longhi transformed five iconic coffee machines into handcrafted, miniature cafés to change perceptions about drinking coffee at home, deepening brand engagement.
