Firehouse Subs’ first official sports
sponsorship has the brand stepping up to the plate with a new offer for baseball and sub sandwich fans.
This week the sandwich chain was named the official sub of Major League Baseball across
the U.S. and Canada. The multiyear partnership marks the first sports sponsorship for the firemen-founded chain and kicks off just in time for the second half of the MLB season.
To celebrate
the sponsorship, Firehouse Subs has rolled out the “Extra Innings, Extra Subs” promotion. Beginning July 17, any time an MLB game goes into extra innings on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday,
customers who purchase a medium sub can get a second one free, which is redeemable the following Monday through Wednesday. Customers must use the code “extra” to get the offer via the
Firehouse app or on Firehousesubs.com.

“We weren't looking for just any sports partnership, we were looking for the right one,” said Carolina Berti, CMO at Firehouse Subs.
“Baseball is that partner: a sport built on community, and a brand built to serve one. Together we're launching ‘Extra Innings Extra Subs,’ [as] a way for us to share more of our
subs back to the communities that show up for us all season long."
In addition to being an MLB sponsor, Firehouse is also an official partner of the MLB Play Ball initiative and presenting
partner of MLB Pitch, Hit & Run. Pay Ball promotes “participation in baseball and softball with an emphasis on casual play,” while Pitch, Hit & Run “gives boys and girls ages
7–14 the chance to compete in skills competitions,” with finals held at the World Series.
