Dunkin', L.L. Bean Partner For National Coffee Day

Dunkin’ is clearly the winner this year for the most adorable National Coffee Day promotion.

The QSR partnered with L.L.Bean for limited-edition fall-themed merchandise and giveaways.

The first item to drop was a limited-edition Dunkin’ x L.L.Bean Birdseye Sweater Cup Sleeve that looks exactly like it sounds — a tiny sweater that snugly fits a hot or iced coffee cup.

“The collection includes a sweater, tote bag and exclusive accessories available online and at select locations,” according to People. “On National Coffee Day, the chain will celebrate the full collection launch by offering Dunkin’ Rewards members a free coffee with any purchase on the app.”

If a tiny sweater cup cozy isn’t cute enough, a second limited-edition accessory, an L.L.Bean Coffee Tote, is also available on DunkinRunsonMerch.com and at select store locations in Maine. The merch collection also features a human-sized pink-and-orange Birdseye Sweater.

For the past week, the two brands have been tooling around New England on a Dunkin’ x L.L.Bean Bootmobile Tour, stopping at Dunkin’ locations from Maine to Boston to supply fans with both photo ops and gift cards.

Coffee is big business, today and every day. According to the National Coffee Association, coffee is consumed by more adults each day than any other beverage, including tap or bottled water.

“The 2026 National Coffee Data Trends Fall Report found that 66% of Americans reported drinking coffee at some point in the past day and out-of-home coffee consumption is nearing pre-COVID 19 levels,” according to USA Today. “The report found that 83% of coffee drinkers have coffee at home while out-of-home consumption among coffee drinkers reached 38% in the survey, the highest level since January 2020. Additionally, more American adults now drink specialty coffee than traditional coffee – 48% reported having specialty coffee in the past day, a new record.”
