Earlier this month in an interview on Fox News, Vice President JD Vance
said now was not the time for voters to “gripe about all the little things.”
You know, like eye-popping gas prices (up around 40% by some accounts this year), the out-of-control cost of
living (up nearly 7% in the U.S. over the last two years) and other economic issues that are a constant worry for most Americans.
The remarks were part of Vance’s pitch to voters ahead of the
upcoming midterms to give Republicans another two years in office.

The Lincoln Project doesn’t think that’s such a good idea. The advocacy group—dedicated to defeating MAGA
Republicans--is out with a new ad calling out Vance’s tone-deafness and asserting that Trump Republicans think Americans “are just a bunch of whiners and complainers.”
“We
should be happy to pay $80 bucks for a tank of gas,” the ad’s narrator intones as a visual of a sign shows the price of a gallon of fuel close to $8.
“We should consider
the sky-high price of groceries a great opportunity to lose weight,” the narrator sarcastically continues.
Unaffordably high mortgage rates? “Move in with your in-laws. Look at
it as a bonding experience.”
The MAGA Republicans, the ad concludes, “think we’re stupid little people. Had enough?”
LP certainly hopes you
have. See the ad here.
