Phoenix Technologies, Milpitas, Calif., said Monday it will bundle Yahoo Search with its consumer and embedded products and online software updates for its Online Synchronization and Continuity solution, BeInSync, which helps to back up, access, share and protect documents.

It also will bundle the search engine with DriverAgent.com, a Web site where users scan their computers for out-of-date drivers and access more than one million updates. The agreement with Yahoo is part of Phoenix's PC 3.0 strategy to expand from its core offerings of systems firmware, to products, features and services that aim to eliminate complexity and create a more user-friendly and convenient PC experience.--Laurie Sullivan
