Puma Launches Time Machine

  • January 7, 2009
Sports footwear brand Puma is launching a campaign intended to commemorate the brand's 60th birthday. The "Puma Past Masher" is a Web application that lets site visitors upload a personal photo and mix 60 years of sartorial styles.

The company says visitors to www.IAm60.Puma.com can create a look either with vintage styles from a specific era or by doing a mash-up of styles from the 1940s through the 1990s.

The effort, via Beam Interactive, comprises some 225 hairstyles, tops and accessories--which, per Beam, allows 45 million possible combinations. Notes and comments on each look can be added to the custom-designed image and those images can then be exported to Facebook and Flickr. --Karl Greenberg
