DiMassimo Goldstein Hires Talent to Expand Offering

New York-based independent ad shop DiMassimo Goldstein has added two new positions to its organization designed to help the agency expand both its content creation and earned and social media capabilities.

The shop has appointed Andree Ljutica director of design and film, while Sarah Block has been named director of public relations.

Ljutica is tasked with expanding DG’s content creation practice within film and video, while overseeing design work for the agency. He will report to Chief Creative Officer Tom Christmann and CEO Mark DiMassimo. The agency indicated that Ljutica and Christmann will be developing a studio within the agency that will focus on “the space between design and film.”

In addition to overseeing the shop’s internal and external marketing communications efforts, Block will develop the agency’s approach to earned and social media and develop strategies for key accounts. She will report to DiMassimo.

The hires, said DiMassimo, reflect the agency’s “commitment to continuously evolving to meet the changing demands of high-growth clients, who are looking for ways to consolidate services” into smaller rosters of shops.

This marks Ljutica’s second tour with DG. He was lead designer at the agency from 2009-12. Prior to returning to DG, Ljutica was lead designer at Grey New York, where he managed various projects, including global re-designs for Marriott and Canon.

Block most recently served as vice president at Ogilvy Public Relations, where she managed strategic communications for a wide range of clients. Her concentration is in brand strategy, thought leadership, media relations and overall communications strategy. Her previous PR agency experience includes roles at Powell Communications, Cooney/Waters and Porter Novelli.

Founded in 1996 by DiMassimo, the agency’s clients include FreshDirect, CVS Caremark, Reader’s Digest and Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center.
