Over the past several weeks, a pro-Trump group has been taking shape. In order to make sure that no tampering happened with Michigan voting machines, a recount of paper ballots will start immediately following a judge’s order. Recounts must be completed by Dec. 13, which is the federal deadline to finalize the vote tallies. With only a current 10,000 vote difference between Trump and Clinton, any tampering may throw the outcome of the election into question.

With the recount in Wisconsin already on its way, Republicans are filing suit to halt recounts in that state and prevent them from starting in Michigan. The main argument is that the recounts won’t have enough time to get done by Dec. 13, which is when the votes must be certified. Another argument is that since Jill Stein is the candidate requesting the recount, and she has no chance of winning, the recounts are “frivolous” and would not change the outcome.

Carrier announced that it was no longer moving 1,000 jobs out of the country, and Donald Trump is taking credit. Apparently, Trump agreed to give Carrier some tax incentives to stick around. In an op-ed, former Democratic candidate for president Bernie Sanders said: “Trump has endangered the jobs of workers who were previously safe in the United States. Why? Because he has signaled to every corporation in America that they can threaten to offshore jobs in exchange for business-friendly tax benefits and incentives.”

After filing for recounts in Wisconsin and Pennsylvania, Green Party candidate Jill Stein has filed for a recount in the third state that broke the Clinton firewall. While the recounts are not really expected to change the outcome of the election, they continue to shine a light on the slim margin by which Trump won those states, as well as on the overwhelming popular vote lead that Clinton has.
