    Twitter this week debuted a new and improved Mac client. “Though it won’t launch for a few months … Twitter explained that newer features are being integrated into the Mac desktop app,” TechCrunch reports. “Some of those features include in-line Vine and video playback, group Direct Messages, photos in Direct Messages and in-line replies.”  
  • FCC Gives App Makers Ammunition To Blockers Telemarketers
    The FCC plans to release data on robocall and telemarketing complaints every week. With the information, “The FCC hopes cellular providers and developers will build stronger ‘do not disturb’ tools that take advantage of the data, which it's publishing in spreadsheet form,” The Verge reports.  
  • Twitch Adds PS4 Streaming App
    Twitch has launched a full-featured PlayStation 4 client that lets users tune into any stream, no matter which platform it comes from. “It'll seem quite familiar if you've used the Xbox One app (shh!), but there is a section to help you find PS4-specific broadcasters,” Engadget notes. “The app is ready at this very moment, so give it a shot if you enjoy viewing games as much as you do playing them.”  
  • Apple, Dropbox Withhold Support For CISA
    Apple and Dropbox have decided not to support Cybersecurity Information Sharing Act, or CISA. According to critics, the controversial cybersecurity would “give the government sweeping new powers to spy on Americans in the name of protecting them from hackers,” The Washington Post reports. “The announcement by the two companies comes days before the Senate expects to vote on the legislation.”  
  • Google Debuts Beta Channel For Android Google App
    Google just launched an official beta channel for the Android Google search app. “Users looking to test the latest features of the app can opt in to the beta through Google Play's beta service,” ars technica reports. “The beta signup process works and will serve a newer Google app than the normal channel.”  
  • Apple TV Hitting Shelves Next Week
    The new Apple TV will go on sale this coming Monday, Tim Cook announced at a conference, this week. Cook also revealed that there are currently 6.5 million paying Apple Music customers, 15 million total subscribers, and health apps represent the biggest growth for Apple Watch.  
  • Mobile Converts Paying Players Faster Than Web
    According to mobile marketing company Optimove, mobile gaming players convert to paying players about 1.9 times faster than online Web players, VentureBeat reports. Mobile gamers also make a second payment 1.5 times faster than Web players, play 1.6 times more days a month, and initiate 1.4 times more games. Social casino games are expected to generate $3.4 billion in revenue in 2015.
  • Is Facebook App Stealing Users' Battery Life?
    To power its iOS app, Facebook is being accused of stealing -- or at least hogging -- the batter life of unsuspecting iPhone users? “Steal is a strong word, but that seems to be the case with the Facebook mobile app on iOS when it comes to battery life,” BGR reports. “The company is looking to maximize the screen time it gets from each user, so it’s apparently reverting to some shady tactics to deliver new content to you.”  
  • Uber Testing Delivery Service
    Uber is testing a door-to-door delivery service named UberRush in select cities, including San Francisco, New York and Chicago. “The move comes a month after the San Francisco debut of UberEats, which does curbside meal deliveries at lunchtime in a couple of neighborhoods,” the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
