Milk Gets Rid of Snake Hair In New Campaign

  • May 11, 2009
Stylist to the stars Robert Ramos has partnered with of the California Milk Processor Board, the creator of Got Milk? and Toma Leche, to promote milk as the way to get beautiful hair.

He is part of a new Hispanic marketing campaign that includes new Web elements and a TV spot. The effort centers on an animated TV spot for Spanish-language TV in California, with the fictive Princess of Velmont -- who is unmarried because, like Medusa, she actually has snakes instead of hair.

The king decides to give his daughter in marriage to the man who could tame her locks. While many courageous men unsuccessfully try to fight the snakes off with scissors and other assorted tools, a wise peasant brings a glass full of milk into the castle.

The snakes slowly begin to disappear from the princess's head and are then replaced with lustrous, long, beautiful hair, as she drinks the glass of milk. A wedding ensues, and everyone lives happily ever after.--Karl Greenberg
