Pedicures are a
popular gift for Mother's on their day, so it would make sense for Craftsman to set up its own "Man-A-Cure" for Father's Day.
The Sears-owned hardware brand is launching a Father's
Day promotion in which the company will be giving 10 fathers $1,000 worth of Craftsman tools, and they have enlisted Archie Manning (father of Eli and Peyton) to help decide the winners.
"Great
dads are known for passing down wisdom. Just as Archie has passed his football knowledge on to his sons, Craftsman dads have been extending DIY know-how to their sons for generations," said Laura
Sardegna, brand manager for Craftsman, in a statement. "The Craftsman brand is one that stands for trust and reliability, and we're pleased to partner with an individual who embodies those traits."
The winners will be judged based upon entries that include a 100-word essay on their deserving nature for a "Man-A-Cure" and a photo related to said essay. Details about how the company will
promote the contest were not immediately available.
This is not the first time Sears has partnered with the Manning family. Last month, at the Kitchen & Bath International Show, the company
brought in Eli Manning and his mom, Olivia, to help promote the introduction of 20 new home appliances.
