Jerry Seinfeld Stars In Another Campaign, This Time Down Under

"Jerry Seinfeld must have been pree-tty bored when he agreed to this one," writes Jacquie Bowser. The comedian, who in the past has only starred in ads for global giants American Express and Microsoft, is appearing in TV commercials for the Greater Building Society, which is based in Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia.

The ads were filmed in Cedarhurst, a small town in Long Island, N.Y., that was made to look like a regional Australian community. Pushing a supermarket cart down the street, Seinfeld says: "When it comes to your money, you don't want great, you want greater. It's like maximum. When I go to a drug store to get pain medication I want maximum strength. Figure out what will kill me and then back it off a little bit."

"We didn't think in our wildest dreams he would say yes," says John Dwyer, Greater's marketing head.
