Screenvision said it has renewed a deal to serve as the in-theater rep firm for a company that screens films on college campuses.

The deal with Hogan Communications, a marketing firm that targets college kids, has Screenvision handling national and regional sales for ads in a 12-minute, Hogan-produced pre-show special.

Hogan airs films on nearly 400 screens. The arrangement also gives Screenvision rights to conduct other promotional activity on campuses, including product sampling and demonstrations, as well as consumer research.

Hogan's screens are located in almost 200 cities across the country, including New York, Chicago and Los Angeles. Darryl Schaffer, an executive vice president at Screenvision, states: "This enables us to reach our key demo, young adults 18 to 24, in a very robust way."

"The Screenvision sales force is best placed to represent our circuit ... both from a national ad sales perspective and niche marketing perspective," states Michael Hogan of the eponymous Hogan Communications.

Among Hogan's other services are placing ads in college newspapers for marketers. A principal client base is movie studios, and it has worked with Sony and MGM, among others.

Screenvision sells ads that run on more than 15,300 screens in the U.S. in over 2,400 theaters.
