Velti Launches Integrated Mobile Planning Platform

London-based mobile marketing company Velti on Monday launched a new online platform for brands, agencies, publishers and mobile carriers to more easily execute their mobile strategies.

The new Velti mGage service provides a platform to plan mobile campaigns, select inventory, manage media buys, create applications, mobile sites and widgets, build mobile CRM campaigns, and track performance in real-time.

"Velti mGage allows our customers to use mobile and traditional media to reach out to targeted consumers, engage the consumer through the mobile internet and applications, convert consumers into customers, and continue to actively manage the relationship between the brand and the consumer through the mobile channel," said Alex Moukas, founder and CEO of Velti.

Velti mGage will now serve as the point of access for more than 70 Velti mobile advertising and marketing solutions, plus those of partner organizations, including Azuki, 4INFO, MobClix, Smaato, Distimo and Shazam Entertainment.

The Velti mGage portal will provide a range of premium mobile inventories and enabling technologies to deliver against organizations' mobile objectives.

For third-party partners, including content delivery networks, application providers, campaign optimization specialists, mobile ad networks and analytic and billing providers, the Velti mGage platform provides an environment in which to execute marketing and advertising campaigns and to create new business opportunities and technology innovations.

Founded in 2000, the publicly held Velti had revenue of $70 million in 2008 with a profit of $17 million. It expects revenue in the first quarter of 2009 to be 50% higher than a year ago.

Expanding its U.S. presence, Velti last May acquired mobile ad startup Ad Infuse. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
