Minneapolis-based fishing-tournament organization FLW Outdoors reports that GM's Chevrolet division has extended its partnership with FLW Outdoors. Chevrolet has sponsored FLW Outdoors since its inception in 1996. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

As part of the sponsorship, Chevrolet will have brand and product exposure at all 189 bass and walleye events, FLW Outdoors' multiple websites, FLW Fantasy Fishing, FLW Outdoors Magazine, "FLW Outdoors" television show on Versus and additional functions operated by FLW Outdoors.

Chevrolet will continue to serve as the official vehicle of FLW Outdoors. It will also be the title sponsor of the Chevy Open on the FLW Tour, held this year in Hot Springs, Ark., May 26 - 29. Chevy will also serve as the presenting sponsor of the BFL All-American, a championship series for weekend anglers, held on DeGray Lake in Hot Springs May 27 - 30, and the Chevy Wild Card, a tournament offering BFL anglers an additional chance at qualifying for the BFL All-American.

For the 2010 season, Chevrolet sponsors an eight-member angling team, and will also have displays promoting products and anglers and will provide promotional materials to fans at the FLW Outdoors Family Fun Zone & Outdoor Expo surrounding the FLW Tour and championship events. Chevy will also be at the College Fishing Festivals, held in conjunction with National Guard FLW College Fishing.

Chevrolet will also continue to be a major supporter of FLW Fantasy Fishing, and will have a sweepstakes attached to an online extension of Fantasy Fishing, dangling a 2011 Chevy Silverado.--Karl Greenberg
