Fox Television Studios has a new president: show biz veteran David Madden. Previously, Madden was a longtime executive vice president at FTS, where he ran creative development and production. His list of hits at the studio are numerous, including series "Burn Notice," "White Collar," "Saving Grace" and "The Shield."  

He replaces Emiliano Calemzuk, who left the company to become CEO Shine Group Americas. Shine is run by Elizabeth Murdoch, daughter of Rupert Murdoch.

Madden said his "agenda going forward will be simple: to do more, to do it better, and even to be more profitable, while still taking some chances."

In addition to his long list of TV shows, Madden has also shephered various movies to TV, including "Flight 93," "Knights of the South Bronx" and World War III," He also exec produced "Home Alone 4."

"David has been front and center throughout FTS' rise to its current position as one of the premiere brands in cable programming," stated Gary Newman and Gary Walden, chairmen of Fox, who added their new president would "grow and evolve FTS in the coming years." Madden reports to both executives.

Before FTS, Madden was a producer and partner with the Paramount Pictures-based Cort/Madden Company, with more than 20 films on his resume. The most recent, the award-winning"Something the Lord Made," starring Alan Rickman and Mos Def for HBO in 2004. Prior to Paramount, he was a partner with Interscope Communications.
