LAN Airlines, Lonely Planet Sign Agreement

  • November 13, 2010
LAN Airlines, which serves South America, and Lonely Planet have signed a five-year agreement.

The airline is licensing content from Lonely Planet to promote tourism in South America and worldwide. Starting in 2011, LAN.com will feature expert Lonely Planet content highlighting tourist attractions of South America.

The initiative will make LAN the only airline in Latin America to offer a range of travel content on their website, according to the airline. Millions of tourists will have free access to this information in English, Spanish, German and French via LAN.com.--Tanya Irwin
