'Men' To Man: Sheen Fired From CBS Series

Charlie-Sheen

After several weeks of incendiary comments, Charlie Sheen has been removed from his starring role on CBS hit "Two and a Half Men." Series owner and producer Warner Bros. put out a statement saying it had ended its relationship with Sheen.

"After careful consideration, Warner Bros. Television has terminated Charlie Sheen's services on "Two and a Half Men" effective immediately," the statement said.

Warner Bros. said no decisions have been made as to whether the series will continue. With a total cancellation, Warner Bros. stands to lose hundreds of millions in syndication fees, but the hit could be reduced if Sheen is replaced on the show. Repeats are expected to continue airing on CBS with production shut down.

Sheen, who has been taking shots at CBS and show creator Chuck Lorre, released a statement to TMZ.com saying: "This is very good news. They continue to be in breach, like so many whales. It is a big day of gladness at the Sober Valley Lodge because now I can take all of their bazillions, never have to look at whatshiscock again and I never have to put on those silly shirts for as long as this warlock exists in the terrestrial dimension."

Some sort of legal battle is likely to ensue.

Sheen is currently one of Ad.ly's celebrity tweeters and could make $1 million a year with sponsored tweets.

So let me get this right. CBS hires the biggest parting actor in Hollywood and encourages him to become the most womanizing, alcoholic, parting, Hooker Chasing character ever on the little or big screen. Then after emerging himself in the character for 9 years and making it the most successful TV character of all time, while simultaneously synthesizing art and life thus becoming the character off screen, CBS kick him to the curb.

Why, cause they don't want to have anything to do with that character. Oh yeah, they got 8 plus years of content which they can milk for decades. Firing him now , makes for an immensely more profitable scenario than paying him $1,500,000 for more for another 8 episodes. Oh yeah they save millions in production cost also.

I have no luv in particular for Charlie Sheen, although in the early years of 'Two and A Half Men' I laughed off at least 20 lbs, now a days not so much, but I hope he sues all of the profits out of this deal for Charlie Sheen.

One more thing why in the Hell dose everyone on TV keep referring to 2 + 1/2 Men as a Family Show? W-T-F!!!
