Diageo's Tanqueray Gin has partnered with Zagat to offer an iPhone app featuring free ratings and reviews and other features. 

The Zagat T&T Finder offers free access to Zagat's premium ratings/ reviews for about 500 top restaurants and nightspots that serve Tanqueray & Tonic.

The reviewed locations span 10 U.S cities: Boston, Chicago, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Miami, New Orleans, New York City, Orlando, San Francisco and Tampa.

The app, which can be downloaded from the travel section of the iTunes store at no charge for one year, includes GPS technology to locate nearby rated locations, as well as an augmented reality feature providing an interactive view of the establishments through the iPhone camera. Search results can be sorted by food, décor, service and cost, and emailed or added to the user's contacts/ personal calendar.

The full Zagat to Go for the iPhone, which costs $9.99, is among the top-grossing travel apps, according to Zagat. This is the first time the company has provided free access to some content.

Tanqueray was chosen as the #1 gin for gin and tonics by Zagat. "The Zagat T&T Finder is our way to sharing that good news with consumers," said Tanqueray USA brand director Kate Price, adding that there is a natural fit between the quality spirit and Zagat's quality content.
