The Internet Wastes Your Time

Pew Internet & American Life Project released a study that apparently suggests the Internet is a place people can go to waste time. The study finds that 53% of adults say they use the Web for no reason but to pass the time. Of those who use the Internet, 74% said they go online just to pass the time. This trend, the study suggests, makes the Internet a competitor to all kinds of leisure activities, such as shopping, watching television and listening to the radio.
