Stardome Airs Fox Deportes Content

Stardome Radio Networks has signed a deal giving it access to Spanish-language sports content from Fox Deportes, the companies announced this week.
The deal gives Stardome, one of the country’s largest Hispanic radio syndication companies, content from Spanish-language sports talk shows “Central Fox” and “La Última Palabra.” Content includes news reports, commentator segments and network promotional spots, updated daily.

Fox Deportes will also provide audio capsules, ranging in length from one to three minutes, as well as live segments with news and commentators from “Central Fox.”
Launched in February of last year, both “Central Fox” and “La Última Palabra” have scored relatively high in ratings versus other Spanish-language sports cable networks. “Central Fox” was the top Spanish-language sports news program in the second half of 2012, according to Fox Deportes.
Altogether, Fox Deportes reaches over 20 million cable and satellite households across the country, including over 6 million U.S. Hispanic households. Its programming ranges from popular soccer content, including the UEFA Champions League, Barclays Premier League, Copa Bridgestone Libertadores and Copa Bridgestone Sudamericana, to Spanish-language coverage of Major League Baseball, boxing and Nascar.
Stardome provides programming and services to broascast radio groups including Clear Channel Media and Entertainment, Univision Radio, Entravision Communications and Spanish Broadcasting System.
According to TNS data cited by the Cable Advertising Bureau, in 2007 94% of U.S. Hispanic males identified themselves as sports fans, and 48% considered themselves “avid” sports fans. Per the same research, over half of Hispanic males who watch soccer prefer programming in Spanish.
