Ofcom Grants YourTV Manchester Local TV Licence

The announcement follows Ofcom awarding the Evening Standard the licence to run a digital terrestrial local TV service in London last week. YourTV Manchester has the right to run the channel for up to 12 years with an audience reach of around one million homes. It is hoped that some local TV channels will be up and running by the end of the year.
