Brand Roadtest: Keen Sends Socks On Pacific Crest Trail

Keen, already known for its products for outdoor enthusiasts, is pushing its socks right to the brink and says it is launching an intensive consumer testing program this summer on the legendary Pacific Crest Trail. Betting that its Olympic hiking socks can stand up to the PCT’s 2663 miles of punishment, it has handed socks out to some 130 thru-hikers. (Most average 20 miles per day, and will take roughly six months to complete the trail.) Fourteen of them have been tapped as Olympus Ambassadors, who—in between dodging bears and climbing 13,000-foot-peaks-- will also blog and Tweet about their experiences.
