Legendary Entertainment has hired Christopher Erb, formerly vice president of brand marketing at game developer EA Sports, as its vice president of brand marketing, overseeing all aspects of the company’s social media and consumer marketing campaigns.

In his new position, Erb will report to Legendary president and chief creative officer Jon Jashni. He will also work with the company’s recently acquired Five33 marketing team, headed by Emily Castel.

“Chris is a dynamic marketer and innovative brand builder,” said Jashni, in a statement. “His experiences and vision will be instrumental in helping us deepen the existing relationship between our brand and consumers.”

At EA Sports, Erb established a model of highlighting partnership and collaboration in marketing video game releases, leading collaborations with brands such as Coca-Cola, Nike, Microsoft, McDonald’s and Procter & Gamble.
