As it
looks to bolster its digital offerings, Telemundo has tapped Latha Sarathy to lead research for its Web platforms. Sarathy held a similar role at Radio One.
In a vice president’s
role, Sarathy will oversee analytics and research for Telemundo.com and mun2.com. She will also work with marketing and programming on initiatives that include new growth areas.
The
Spanish-language programmer said current executive Yatisha Bothwell, who has been with the company since 2004, will take on a vice president’s position in insights and strategy to help build
branded entertainment opportunities.
Both executives will report to Gregg Liebman, senior vice president of ad sales, insights and strategy for Telemundo Media.
At Radio One,
Sarathy led sales research and analytics for digital platforms that included the Web sites for 50 local radio stations, as well as a social networking platform and other products. She also developed
an online research community of African American consumers to help guide strategy for the company and advise advertisers.
Previously, Sarathy worked in research for the digital group at CBS
Television Stations and ad research for the online operations at Unvision.
